Defencemen Travis Hamonic and TJ Brodie were on the ice for all 3 goals, and were a combined -6 on the evening. The Flames didn’t do newcomer Mike Smith any favours allowing the Oilers to pepper the goaltender with 45 shots of goal in his first game. Smith was named the game’s 2nd star in the loss. Newly signed Jaromir Jagr skated alongside Kris Versteeg and Sam Bennett Thursday morning. It is still unclear if he will make his debut against the Jets.
