Draisaitl hammered home his 50th goal of the year shortly after notching his 100th point, Sunday in Anaheim.

San Jose is trying to shake their current three-game slide after their comeback came up short versus Dallas Saturday.

The Oilers are the -185 favourites to win tonight on the NHL odds with a total of 6.5.

Oilers vs. Sharks NHL Betting Odds

Tonight will be the third of four meetings between the Pacific Division foes, with the Oilers currently holding a 2-0 series lead. Draisaitl scored twice in a 5-2 Edmonton win just two weeks ago on March 24th. The Sharks got shutout 3-0 in the series opener. 89 percent of early bets are taking the Oilers to continue dominating the season series.

In their past 20 head-to-heads the Over is 15-5 dating back to 2017.

Edmonton has been scoring 4.9 goals per game over their past 10, including five six-goal performances and playing the Over 8-2. They have covered three of their past seven and are 33-37 ATS on the year.

San Jose’s offence has been terrible for them recently, scoring just two or less in five of their past 10 games. They are 5-5 ATS and on the Over/Under in their past 10 outings.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers cruised to a 6-1 win in Anaheim on Sunday, highlighted by Draisaitl’s double milestone. Connor McDavid and Tyson Barrie each had three-point games and Mike Smith made 31 saves for his ninth win of the year.

McDavid was named the NHL’s First Star of the Week after posting eight points (5G, 3A) in four games last week. With just over 10 games to go, McDavid (+170) is second behind Auston Matthews (+158) as favourites for the Hart Trophy on our Player Props and Awards board.

Edmonton is 7-2-1 over their past 10, sitting third in the pacific division. The Division is anyone’s for the taking with seven points between the first and fourth-placed teams.

San Jose Sharks

The Sharks erased a 4-1 deficit in the third period Saturday night but fell short 5-4 to the Stars, their third loss in a row and fourth in their past five. Deadline acquisition Kaapo Kahkonen got pulled allowing four goals on only 14 shots. He is winless through three starts in San Jose with an embarrassing 5.16 goals-against average.

Rookie Alexander Chmelevski had his first career multi-point game with 2 assists in the loss. The 22-year-old could be a diamond in the rough for the Sharks drafting him in the sixth round back in 2017.

The injury bug recently bit the Sharks with forwards Ozzy Wiesblatt, Kevin Leblanc and Ryan Dzingel all being shut down for the season.
