Edmonton Oilers vs. Vegas Golden Knights Prediction, NHL Odds
The Edmonton Oilers finish off a three-game road trip in Las Vegas to faceoff with their Pacific division rivals, the Golden Knights.
Both squads have been idle since winning on Wednesday night. The Oilers are -111 favourites to win on the NHL odds with a total of 6.5.
Oilers vs. Golden Knights NHL Betting Odds
Vegas and Edmonton meet early in the season back on Oct. 22, when Zach Hyman scored two, propelling his Oilers to a 5-3 win in Vegas. That broke a four-game Under streak in their head-to-heads and has 90 per cent of tonight’s bets going to the Over again. Oddsmakers had the Oilers as a +175 underdog when they opened, but after receiving 88 per cent of the betting action, they are now the -111 favourite.
Edmonton’s bread and butter is putting the puck in the net. They are the third-ranked offence in the league, helping them to a 12-7 record on the Over/Under. Oilers bettors would like to see them cover the spread more often, they’ve only done it nine times in 19 games.
The Golden Knights are also 12-7 on the Over/Under because of their recent 10 games going 7-3 to the Over. They have covered the spread five times over the same 10 game stretch putting their record to 8-12 so far.
Edmonton Oilers
After being held off the score sheet for the first time all season in Dallas Monday, Connor McDavid bounced back with a dominant four-point night in the Oilers 5-3 win in Arizona Wednesday. Leon Draisaitl could not be outdone by his captain, as he picked up four points of his own, as the pair extended their NHL point lead.
Edmonton has won three of its past four but is 1-1 on this current road trip. The Oilers fell out of top spot in the Pacific Division, but still have the best point percentage.
Vegas Golden Knights
Max Pacioretty reunited with Chandler Stephenson and Mark Stone on the Golden Knights’ top line when he returned in their 5-2 win in Nashville Wednesday night. Pacioretty picked up an assist on Stone’s first goal of the year, as the trio combined for a five-point night. Patches had been out since Oct. 14 with a lower-body injury.
The Knights got off to a shaky start this season, but have burned through the month of November to climb back into a playoff spot. They are 7-3 in their past 10 including winning five of the past six at T-Mobile Arena.
