So the Seattle and Dallas series all comes down to Monday night. Ironic, in a sense. With so much attention given to the Maple Leafs and Oilers, it’s the series featuring the second-year expansion Seattle franchise and a Texan club that offers fans the most thrilling setting in hockey: Game 7.

For a series that’s gone the distance, recent contests have been surprisingly lopsided. 7-2, 6-3, 5-2, and 6-3 have been the four most recent final scores. With so much on the line, expect that to change with a much closer game.

Best Bet: Stars on the moneyline.

Kraken vs Stars Game 7, bonus round: Yanni Gourde to Get Points

Seattle’s Yanni Gourde has had a very strong series up to this point. With the exception of Game 4, the centre has notched at least a point in every contest (two goals and three assists). In fact, he leads the Kraken in playoff points this spring with 12 (four goals and eight assists). We just said that the home team Stars are the better bet on the money line, but if Seattle is going to put up a fight, they’ll need Gourde to help keep it close.

Best Bet: Yanni Gourde to get over 0.5 points.

Yankees vs Blue Jays: Points Go Over

There is no rest for the battle-tested. After completing a weekend sweep of the Atlanta Braves, the Jays stay home to host the Yankees for three nights. New York was at home earning a 2-2 split with the Tampa Bay Rays, so both teams were in tough.

It says a lot about the quality of the AL East that each club is several games above .500 – New York is 23-19 and Toronto 24-16 – yet still not even close to first place. This series will hint at what their chances are of maybe earning a division title even though it’s only mi-May. The Jays have been excellent at home this season. Alek Manoah is on the mound for Toronto on Monday while Jimmy Cordero pitches for New York. His ERA has been high this season at 4.83.
