Ochocinco Tweets Desire to Join Habs, Fight Chara and Lucic
Never one to shy away from attention, Chad Johnson has taken to Twitter to declare his desire to play for the Montreal Canadians.
As NHL training camp approaches I want to suit up for the HABS so I can fight Chara & Lucic…

It seems like Johnson is trying to rile up Montreal fans after the Canadiens defeated the Boston Bruins in the Conference Finals of the 2013 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. The series went seven games and was particularly contentious as Bruins left winger Milan Lucic and defenseman Zdeno Chara stirred the pot with controversial comments in the post-game handshake line-up.

Johnson currently plays for the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL after spending several years as a Pro-Bowl wide receiver in the NFL. The man formerly known as “Ochocinco” has a flare for entertainment and social media playfulness, and of course, is posturing for Montreal fans. It would be pretty entertaining to see Johnson on skates matched up against Chara, though.
