NHL Parlay Picks for Saturday, Oct. 11: Oilers searching for first win of season against Canucks
After a dark night in the NHL with no games on Friday, hockey is back with a packed schedule for the first Hockey Night in Canada of the year on Saturday.
I’m going through the slate of games and targeting a Saturday NHL parlay.
Here’s what I have for a three-leg parlay priced at +456:
- Kings vs. Jets game total Under 5.5 (-110)
- Blackhawks vs. Canadiens Connor Bedard Over 2.5 shots (-110)
- Oilers moneyline vs. Canucks (-180)

Kings vs. Jets game total Under 5.5
These teams kick of the Saturday slate of games at 1:30 p.m. ET in Winnipeg. The Kings were bullied in a 4-1 home loss against Colorado to open the year before they travelled to Vegas and walked away with a wild 6-5 shootout win. The Jets began their season at home on Thursday, falling 5-4 to Dallas.
Despite L.A. and Winnipeg combing to hit the Over in two of three games, I’ve got a lower scoring contest pegged for this one. The Kings swept the season series last year, with all three games finishing below the number. That continued a trend that has seen the total go Under in 14 of the last 19 head-to-heads between these clubs.
Connor Bedard Over 2.5 shots
Connor Bedard is entering the final year of his entry level contract and unlike a lot of the current younger crop of NHL stars, he decided to bet on himself and wait before his next deal. I like his shot total in Chicago’s home opener against the Habs.
Bedard has made it known he wants to score more this season and Year 3 is typically when these types of young superstars really pop and break out. All of Chicago’s offence runs through Bedard and he showed off his absolute rocket of a shot when he scored in Boston on Thursday.
It shouldn’t be an issue for Bedard to rack up 3+ shots against Montreal.
Oilers moneyline
After opening their season with a 5-4 home shootout loss against Calgary, the Oilers are back at Rogers Place searching for their first win of the year against a Vancouver team that kicked things off with a 5-1 win over the Flames.
I like Edmonton in this spot. They took two of three in the season series last year, winning those games by four goals each, and they’ve won four of the last five head-to-heads dating back to their playoff matchup in 2023-24.
Connor McDavid is burning for another Stanley Cup run and it starts with win No. 1 on the first Hockey Night in Canada of the season.
