Seattle Kraken vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction, NHL Odds
The Oilers are surging at the right time of the year as they welcome the Pacific Division-rival Seattle Kraken in their final meeting of the season Tuesday night. Edmonton is -190 on the NHL odds with a total of 6.5 goals.
Kraken vs. Oilers NHL Betting Odds
In an interesting twist on Tuesday’s 10-game NHL slate, the Oilers are the only Canadian home club as they continue a crucial four-game homestand. The playoffs are all but a done deal for Edmonton, it’s just a matter of which seed and if it can avoid the West’s top wild-card spot.
Seattle is in its fifth season of NHL existence and made the post-season only in Year 2. The Kraken, under first-year coach Lame Lambert, are in the mix for the West’s final WC spot but so are a handful of other teams. The remaining schedule isn’t particularly kind to Seattle, which is +350 for extra hockey with no at -450 and we say no.
Edmonton leads the season series 2-1, but all three were played back in the 2025 portion of the slate and the lone game at Rogers Place was a 9-4 Oilers blowout win Dec. 4. Connor McDavid had a hat trick in that one and has six points (4G, 2A) in the season series. The currently injured Leon Draisaitl (2G, 6A) leads the Oilers with eight. Stuart Skinner, now with Pittsburgh, split his two starts and Calvin Pickard won his. Matty Beniers (3A) and Jordan Eberle (2G, 1A) lead Seattle with three points each. Joey Daccord got the decision in all three games, allowing 11 goals on 72 shots.
Edmonton is 8-2 in the past 10 meetings overall, and the over-under is 4-6.
Seattle Kraken
Seattle is slumping at the worst possible time, losing for the fifth time in six games Saturday, 3-2 in a shootout in Buffalo. It was the third straight game with at least a point for the Kraken, but they expected two vs. the Sabres after leading 2-0 midway through the second. Bobby McMann was acquired from Toronto around the trade deadline for a couple of draft picks, and McMann scored his 26th goal of the season Saturday. He has seven goals and four assists in 11 games with his new club. McMann has joined Anaheim’s Chris Kreider as the only players in the NHL this season to score at least seven goals through his first eight games with a franchise. Centre Shane Wright (26 points) left Saturday’s loss with an undisclosed injury. Philipp Grubauer has started the past two in net, so it’s likely Joey Daccord’s turn Tuesday. Daccord has one win in his last seven, going 1-5-1 with a 3.94 GAA and .826 SV. On the road this year, he is 8-9-3 with a 2.96 GAA and .904 SV. Seattle has lost six straight in Edmonton.
Edmonton Oilers
I projected Edmonton to beat visiting Anaheim, 4-3 on Saturday but instead it was a 4-2 victory – the Oilers’ third in a row. They have scored at least four in each. Connor McDavid had a goal and two assists vs. the Ducks for a 15th three-point game this season, tied for third-most in the league. McDavid is up to 1,206 career points, now just two shy of Dale Hawerchuk for the third-most points by a player before age 30. McDavid is on a four-game goals streak, his third such streak that long this campaign. Jack Roslovic had a second-period goal to reach 20 on the year and give Edmonton five 20-goal scorers. That is tied for the most in the league. Evan Bouchard recorded his 65th assist to set a single-season career high. Hall of Famer Paul Coffey (four times) is the only other blueliner in team history to reach the mark. Edmonton is 6-for-6 over its last two games on the penalty kill. Connor Ingram improved to 9-5-1 on home ice with a 2.88 GAA and likely starts again Tuesday. The over is 5-2 in the Oilers’ past six.
