Los Angeles Kings vs. Ottawa Senators Prediction, NHL Odds

Of their nine wins this season, LA has won eight of them on the road, improving to 8-1-2 as the visitors after winning their three games to begin this road trip.

The Sens have just a single loss in regulation in their past 10 games and have climbed to the top of the Atlantic Division. They have a chance to lead the Division with a win on Saturday.

The NHL Odds have this one as a pick ‘em, with the total sitting at an even six goals. Puck drop from Canadian Tire Centre is set for 7:00 PM EST.

Kings vs. Senators NHL Betting Odds

The Kings are making their only stop in Ottawa this season on Saturday and will wrap up the season series versus the Senators at home on November 24th. They split a very high-scoring series last year, one game apiece, hammering the OVER in both games. In their past seven meetings, they have played UNDER just twice, dating back to November of 2021.

On their current three-game win streak, LA has covered the spread in each game, bringing their record ATS to 8-10 on the campaign. They are averaging just under three goals per game this season, but have scored three or more in each game of their current road trip. Combine that with their defence giving up just two goals per game, and you have the Kings winning recipe.

18 games into the season, the Senators are currently the fifth-highest scoring team in the league, averaging 3.44 goals per game. On the other side of things, they are having trouble keeping the puck out of their net, with 3.56 goals against per game, which is the third highest in the league. These numbers have led them to an 11-6-1 record on the OVER/UNDER this year.

Both of these teams were slow out of the gate this year, but have since turned it around, climbing to second place in their respective divisions. The NHL Futures board has them both favoured to make the playoffs again this season, with the Kings line at -330 and the Sens at -162.

Los Angeles Kings

After opening the trip with a win in Pittsburgh, the Kings travelled North to begin the Canadian leg of their six-game roadie. They took down the Canadiens in Montreal, 5-1, then hit Toronto on Thursday, beating the Maple Leafs 4-3 in overtime, making it three straight W’s.

Los Angeles had trouble handling the Leafs on Thursday, coming back from a 2-0 deficit after the first period. Warren Foegele (3rd) popped the first, and Kevin Fiala (9th) tied things up at two. The Leafs took a 3-2 lead into the third, but a late goal from Alex Laferriere (4th) sent the game to overtime. Quinton Byfield (4th) turned out to be the hero in the extra frame, ending it just 35 seconds into overtime.

Kings netminder Darcy Kuemper had his worst game of the season so far, allowing three goals on just 15 shots. He has been solid this season, posting a .903 save percentage with a 7-3-3 record and has won each of his past four starts.

A four-game win streak would be a season high for LA and could propel them into first place in the Pacific Division if the Anaheim Ducks take a loss.

Ottawa Senators

The Senators scored early and often on Thursday night, putting them back in the win column, taking down the Boston Bruins 5-3. A Claude Giroux (4th) power-play goal just 1:28 into the game got the Sens rolling, and Dylan Cozens (7th) would tuck one in the final minute of the first, putting them up 2-0 headed to the intermission. The Bruins scored the lone goal of the second period to cut the lead in half. A pair of goals from Tim Stutzle (9th, 10th) and one from Shane Pinto (9th) in the third would seal the deal for Ottawa.

The win improved their record at home to an impressive 6-2-2 and extended their point streak to seven straight at Canadian Tire Centre. Their last regulation loss on home ice came on October 18th.

Former King Michael Amadio is red hot right now for Ottawa, riding a six-game point streak after picking up another assist on Thursday. He’s got four goals and two assists on his current streak and is set to crush his career high of 27 points this season.
