Jets’ QB Aaron Rodgers to Miss 2023 Season, Torn Achilles

The celebration of Monday night’s thrilling 22-16 overtime win by the New York Jets over the Buffalo Bills received a cold shower Tuesday morning.

It is now being reported that the sack Rodgers took from Bills’ DE Leonard Floyd just minutes into the first quarter of Week 1’s contest has in fact torn his Achilles tendon. The quarterback’s season is therefore done.

New York completed the game with 2021 first-round draftee Zach Wilson leading the offence, although it was mostly ball rushers Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook making big plays.

It is expected that the team will try to find another gunslinger to add depth to the quarterback room. Other than Wilson, the team has Tim Boyle, who is on the practice squad.
