Adam Lowry

Lowry missed Winnipeg’s first 12 games of the season after undergoing off-season hip surgery.

The 32-year-old winger became a full participant at practice last week and is now ready to see game action for last year’s Presidents’ Trophy winners.

Lowry’s return comes just as the Jets ruled out centre Morgan Barron week-to-week with an undisclosed injury. The 26-year-old Barron has three goals and three assists in 12 games.

Lowry underwent hip surgery in May and returned to skating in August with a return date to game action targeted for late October to early November.

It’s a big piece returning to Winnipeg’s lineup. Lowry had 16 goals and 34 points in 73 regular season games last year. He netted another four goals in 13 playoffs games.

Drafted 67 overall by the Jets in 2011, Lowry was named captain ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Winnipeg Jets

Entering play on Monday, Winnipeg sits second in the Central Division with a 9-3-0 record. They’re riding a three-game win streak and will look to stay undefeated (4-0-0) on the road when they face L.A. on Tuesday.

Despite their place in the standings, the Jets are +500 to win the Central Division, lagging behind both Dallas (+240) and Colorado (+100).

If you’re looking for a futures play, Winnipeg’s +2200 Stanley Cup odds are intriguing. That’s a better price than fellow Canadian clubs Toronto (+1900) and Edmonton (+800), who both trail the Jets in the league standings.
