The 63rd NHL All-Star Game is upon us. The event will start at 3:30 ET on January 28th in Tampa, Florida. A couple of years ago, the league changed the format to this one, which features four teams, one from each division, in a three-on-three tournament.

The Atlantic and Metropolitan teams will play each other to determine which will head to the finals to face the winner from the Central vs. Pacific teams.  Each game will be played in two 10-minute halves, and the winners from the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference will play in the Championship game that same evening.

NHL All-Stars Betting Odds and Analysis

Last year, the Metropolitan Division was favored to win the tournament, and they did just that, first taking out the Atlantic team with a score of 10-6 before moving on to the Championship game against the Pacific Division team, who’d beaten the Central team with a convincing 10-3 win.

This year, the Atlantic Division has the edge as +225 favorites and with one of the youngest rosters featuring  NHL scoring leader Nikita Kucherov and Maple Leaf star Auston Matthews, as well as Erik Karlsson leading the defense, they’ll be a force on the ice.

Last year’s MVP was Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds took home the honors after scoring three goals during the tourney. Connor McDavid leads the pack of potential MVP winners this year at +745, with hometown hero Steven Stamkos, Sidney Crosby, Nikita Kucherov and Patrick Kane all coming in just behind him at +800.
