Rams WR Cooper Kupp Leaves Practice Early, Injures Hamstring

Wide receiver Cooper Kupp didn’t finish Rams practice on Tuesday due to hamstring pain. He underwent an MRI shortly thereafter. It’s being reported that the Los Angeles Rams will proceed with caution, especially given that Kupp didn’t complete the 2022 campaign due to injury.

Los Angeles Rams’ WR Cooper Kupp Injures Hamstring at Practice

2022 was a dark year for the Los Angeles Rams. Their defence of the Super Bowl title went about as poorly as one can imagine. But entering the 2023 season, the knowledge that the team’s star players are healthy again was a reason to believe in a rebound year. Unfortunately, that hope took a hit on Tuesday evening.

The club hasn’t announced exactly how long Kupp will require to recover from the injury. His injury evidently isn’t too threatening since L.A. expects him to help out quarterback Matthew Stafford this season, just as he did back in 2021 when his performances earned him the triple crown. He led the NFL in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns. The importance of his playmaking ability in the Rams’ offence cannot be overstated.

For all his talent, Kupp, unfortunately, has a history of nasty injuries. As previously stated, he couldn’t complete the 2022 season. That was because of a high ankle sprain. His 2018 was rough as well, missing eight matches because of a torn knee ligament.
