Need a good quarterback? It’s quite possible that both starters in Monday night’s game, Washington’s Kirk Cousins and Kansas City’s Alex Smith, will be available next offseason. The Chiefs are Sports Interaction home betting favourites to remain the AFC’s lone unbeaten team.

Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Kansas City is not just the AFC’s only 3-0 team straight up, but the Chiefs and Buffalo Bills are the lone 3-0 ATS clubs in the NFL. K.C. is the defending AFC West champion and now the +125 favourite to repeat. It had a good Week 3 simply by watching the division rival Raiders, Broncos and Chargers all lose. Since the NFL expanded the playoff field to 12 teams in 1990, 74 percent of teams to start 3-0 made it. Yet even with that impressive Week 1 win at New England, the Patriots remain +162 conference favourites with Kansas City third on the list (also behind Pittsburgh) at +650 with Oakland.
The Redskins (2-1 SU, 2-1 ATS) are tied for the NFC East lead. Washington has just one regular-season win all-time vs. Kansas City and has lost the past six meetings dating to 1992. An upset would also leave the Arizona Cardinals as the only active NFL franchise to have never earned a victory at Arrowhead Stadium.
Few teams were as impressive in Week 3 as Washington was in thumping previously unbeaten Oakland 27-10. Not a huge shock that the Redskins won as this writer recommended taking them and the points here at Sports Interaction. But Washington’s defense is mediocre and held what had been the NFL’s highest-scoring team to just 128 yards and seven first downs while forcing three turnovers. Offensively, the Redskins held the ball for more than 38 minutes.
Cousins, who is likely to hit free agency next offseason, had one of the best games of his career in completing 25 of 30 for 365 yards and three scores – a nearly perfect rating of 150.7. Running back Chris Thompson caught six passes for 150 yards and a touchdown. Washington finished plus-344 in total yards, its best mark in a game in 43 years. The Skins played without running back Rob Kelley (ribs) and tight end Jordan Reed (shoulder, chest). There’s a good chance both return here with the extra day of rest.
Kansas City Chiefs
This is one of a league-high six scheduled prime-time games for Kansas City. The Chiefs have never faced Washington on Monday Night Football. K.C. comes off a 24-10 victory at the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3. Rookie sensation Kareem Hunt had 172 yards on 17 carries, including a 69-yard touchdown. He is the first rookie in NFL history with at least one 50-yard touchdown in each of his first three career games and leads the league in rushing.
Alex Smith, who reportedly could be put on the trade block this offseason to make room for current rookie Patrick Mahomes in the starting lineup, was an efficient 16-for-21 for 155 yards and two scores against the Chargers. It was Kansas City’s 12th straight victory against AFC West opponents, the franchise’s longest such streak since 1994-96.
