Tom Brady Leaving Patriots, Odds on New Team
The six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback thanked the Patriots organization and fans in a tweet, saying “you opened your heart to me, and I opened my heart to you. And Pats Nation will always be a part of me. I don’t know what my football future holds but it is time for me to open a new stage for my life and career.
Brady leaves New England after 20 years and as the winner of six Super Bowl championship rings. The 43-year-old won Super Bowl MVP in four of those championships and was NFL MVP three times.

Brady signed an extension last season that contained two void years, meaning the Pats will carry a $13.5-million dead-money cap hit in 2020. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Chargers both put offers on the table for what is thought to be at least $30 million per season.
