Tom Brady, Bucs, 2020

Stop the press, it's official. Tom Brady is off to Florida. The Buccaneers check in at +1600 to win the Super Bowl.

Free agency in the NFL has been the talk of the sports world. Many teams have stepped up to bolster lineups and some massive names with massive dollars attached to them have found new homes. On Monday morning Tom Brady wrote a heartfelt post on social media confirming that he will indeed be leaving New England. On Friday, he put pen to paper on a brand year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers . The Buccaneers check in at +1600 to win the Super Bowl.

Could there be a power shift in the AFC East? With the NFL world watching many players departing from the New England Patriots, two teams in particular are starting to bulk up their roster.

NFL Betting Odds

The Buffalo Bills are coming off their best season since 1999 when they finished the year 11-5. In the 2019 campaign they finished the season 10-6. Prior to free agency opening the Bills were chalked at +1500 to win the conference. Things have changed. The Bills made a lot of noise with the signing of Cornerback Josh Norman, who reunites in Buffalo with his former defensive co-ordinator in Carolina. It’s safe to say Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott is excited about the Norman on one side and Tre’Davious White on the other. The pair will form the league’s best corner tandem. The Bills also added Mario Addison and AJ Klein to an already strong defensive front seven. Then, to top it off, the Bills pulled a blockbuster trade with the Vikings for receiver Stefon Diggs. The Bills are now right on the heels of the Patriots (-131) to win the AFC East at +138 and a major contender at +1200 for the conference.

NFL Free Agency

The Dolphins may have been a major disappointment last season finishing with a 5-11 record but the 2020 season could be the start of a turnaround. The club strengthened the roster by signing two key veterans to the defence in former Patriot captain Kyle Van Noy and former Cowboy Cornerback Byron Jones. The team also added to its offensive line with the addition of Ereck Flowers. The Dolphins will continue to be active in free agency and are the betting favourite at Sports Interaction to draft Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at -120.

The Cleveland Browns made some key additions on offence, none bigger than offensive tackle Jack Conklin. Conklin helped Derrick Henry become the NFL’s leading rusher last season and now will help Nick Chubb, who finished second in that category, only 46 yards behind Henry. The team also added Tight End Austin Hooper and backup Quarterback Case Keenum. The Browns are (+500) to win the AFC North and (+1600) to capture the conference.

Calais Campbell and Michael Brockens will help an already strong Ravens defence, who are already the favorites to win the AFC North at -200. They are listed as the second favorite in the AFC Conference at +325 just behind the Kansas City Chiefs who check in at +300.

Other notable names include (and the list is growing); DeAndre Hopkins to the Cardinals, David Johnson to the Texans, Marcus Mariota to the Raiders, James Collins and Halapoulivaati Vaitai to the Lions, Hayden Hurst to the Falcons.
