The Bengals are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a straight up loss and 0-4 ATS in their last four Week 8 games. The over is 4-0 in Cincinnati’s last four home games versus a team with a winning record.
Tennessee Titans
The AFC South leading Titans can take some positives away after their first loss of the season last week, 27-24 to the Steelers. Against the top defence in the league, quarterback Ryan Tannehill was able to put up 220 passing yards and two TDs, bringing his total on the year to 15 TDs and only two interceptions. The Titans defence also managed to get into Ben Roethlisberger’s head, picking off the veteran quarterback three times.
Tennessee has spread the ball around their receiving core this season, not favoring any specific player, which is making it difficult to defend against. A.J. Brown leads the team with 332 receiving yards and 23 receptions, while Jonnu Smith has a team-high five TDs. One of the few areas of concern for Tennessee would be the run defence. The Titans defence is giving up 4.9 yards per carry, 19th in the league.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals are a deceptively dangerous team this year. Despite only having one win on the season, they have hung in for every game other than the 27-3 loss to the Ravens. Rookie quarterback Joe Burrow had a breakout game in Cincinnati’s 37-34 loss to the Browns, last week. Burrow threw for 406 yards and three TDs, connecting with his favourite receiver Tyler Boyd 11 times for 101 yards and a TD. Boyd leads the Bengals with 517 receiving yards and is averaging 10.8 yards per catch.
The running game hasn’t been as successful for Cincinnati. Joe Mixon has had a solid year with 428 rushing yards and three TDs, but as a team the Bengals are only averaging 3.7 yards per carry, 26th in the league. The Cincinnati defense was also shredded by the Browns, last week, giving up five TDs and almost 300 passing yards to Baker Mayfield.
