Super Bowl Betting Odds: Will Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift both win hardware in February?

It’s a big month for one of the most famous couples on the planet right now. Taylor Swift is nominated for Album of the Year at the 2024 Grammy Awards on February 4, while Travis Kelce will suit up for the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58 a week later on February 11. Can Swift win Album of the Year and Kelce win Super Bowl 58 MVP?

Travis Kelce Super Bowl 58 MVP

Travis Kelce has turned back the clock over the last couple of weeks. After averaging 65.6 receiving yards per game in 15 regular season contests, Kelce is averaging 87.3 yards per game in three playoff outings. He had two receiving TDs in the divisional round against Buffalo and he recorded 11 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown in the AFC championship game against Detroit. It’s a notable turnaround for a player who combined for only 252 receiving yards and no touchdowns over his final five regular season games. The way Kelce is playing in the playoffs, +1400 to win Super Bowl MVP is great value.

The NFL has always been a quarterback-drive league, so Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes and San Francisco’s Brock Purdy come in as the favourites to win Super Bowl MVP. Mahomes has thrown for 718 yards (239.3 per game) and five TDs with no interceptions through three playoff games. He’s already won the award twice, including last year. Purdy has passed for 519 yards, two TDs and one interception in two playoff games this year. He also added 48 rushing yards in the NFC championship game, the second-highest mark of his career.

Taylor Swift 2024 Album of the Year

A week before Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58, Taylor Swift will be in Los Angeles as the favourite to win Album of the Year at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Swift is a 12-time Grammy winner, including three Album of the Year awards, which makes her the most awarded woman ever in the category. She released the album “Midnights” in October 2022 and it became the biggest selling album of year, led by the lead single “Anti-Hero”. The massive popularity of Midnights led to the album receiving multi-platinum certifications in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Poland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Swifts biggest competition for Album of the Year is expected to come from SZA (SOS), Lana Del Rey (Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Bvld) and Boygenius (The Record). SZA is a 15-time Grammy nominee, including one previous nomination for Album of the Year. She won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2022 for “Kiss Me More” with Doja Cat. Del Rey has also been nominated for Album of the Year once and she has six previous Grammy nominations overall, although she has yet to win. Boygenius is a supergroup made up of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridges and Lucy Dacus. This is the first Grammy nomination for the group as a trio, although Bridges is a four-time Grammy nominee as a solo artist.
