No single football game has as many bet types available as the Super Bowl – Frank Doyle takes you through the mega-mall of Super Bowl bets.

Not only is the Super Bowl the biggest game of the season, it’s also the last football we’ll see until the Hall of Fame game in Canton. That’s a long time to stay dry, so people like to load up with a number of football bets on the big game.

Green Bay has been the favorite all through, opening at -2.5 on the pointspread and pretty much holding steady all during the two weeks to the game. The total is 45 points, which is half a point lower than the average Super Bowl total of 45.5.

You can bet the winning margin, offering a higher payout if you can get the difference between the teams just right – for instance, Green Bay to win by between six and ten points pays out +400, or the Steelers to win by between 1-5 pays out +350.

Not only that, but you can buy and sell points, using Sports Interaction’s alternate spread system. So if you think the Packers will dust the Steelers good, you can back them at -6 with a payout of +139, instead of the -2.5 which pays out -115.

There are alternative totals too – it’s all there for you to find the best bets for you and how you think the game will go.

Player props are always popular. Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger are favorites for MVP – 23 of the 44 MVPs have been quarterbacks – but there’s value to be had all through the teams.

You can bet on the game by quarters. You can bet on touchdown scorers – first, anytime, and by team.

There are also individual player matchups during the game. Who’ll get the most yards rushing, Rashard Mendenall or James Starks. The longest rush between Menenall or Starks. The most receptions, Hines Ward or Donald Driver.

You can have fun bets about Christina Aguilera singing the National Anthem or Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas rocking Dallas at half time. You can bet the coin toss or the color of the Gatorade shower for the winning coach. If you can’t make you mind up, we even have Piñata Picks that makes the pick for you so you can have an interest in the game.

And best of all, when the game begins, the betting goes on. You can bet live all through the game on a wealth of bet types – the point spread, the totals, next touchdown scorer and more.

It’s the Super Bowl. Pull out the stops. Bet now on Super Bowl XLV!
