Steelers’ WR Diontae Johnson Injured, Expected to Miss Weeks
The Pittsburgh Steelers expect to go into battle on Monday night against the rival Cleveland Browns in Week 2 without one of their top two receivers, Diontae Johnson. Johnson came down awkwardly on a pass play in the second quarter of the club’s defeat to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, suffering a hamstring injury in the process.

Steelers Injuries Mount, Diontae Johnson and DT Cameron Heyward Hurt
It wasn’t only the club as a whole who received a beating in Sunday’s 30-7 thumping by the 49ers. Several key players on both sides of the ball are expected to miss time as a result of injuries. In some cases, they could miss several matches.
One that stands out is wide receiver Diontae Johnson, who went down with a hamstring injury in the second quarter.
Another is tackle Cameron Heyward, one of the leaders of the Steelers’ defence. Heyward is nursing a groin injury that could potentially keep him out for a few games as well.
Pittsburgh is already behind in the standings given that the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns emerged victorious from their Week 1 contests. What’s more, the Steelers have to face a Browns defence that was ferocious against the Cincinnati Bengals, paving the way to an easy 24-3 win.
