Report: Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III agrees to sign with Kansas City Chiefs
Super Bowl 60 MVP Kenneth Walker III has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs that will make him the highest paid free agent running back in NFL history.
The contract is worth up to $45 million over three years.

Kenneth Walker III
Walker, 25, is coming off a great fourth NFL season as he eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in rushing for the second time in his career. He was even more effective in the playoffs, rushing for 313 yards and four TDs while adding another 104 yards in the air.
Walker was dominant in Seattle’s 29-13 win over the Patriots in Super Bowl 60, posting 161 total yards. He finished with over 100 total yards in all three of the Seahawks’ playoff victories.
Walker has credited his resurgent 2025 season with making changes to his eating and sleeping habits last off-season. He continued to improve as the season went on, with his average yards per carry going from 4.4 over the first 15 weeks to 5.9 over the final three games of the regular season.
Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City is rebuilding their offence after a down-year that saw them finish 6-11 to miss the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
The Walker signing comes following the news that future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce is also expected to return to the Chiefs for a 14th season.
Walker and Kelce will be leaned on heavily early in 2026 as quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ status is in limbo after he suffered a season-ending torn ACL in December. While Mahomes has said he hopes to be back for Week 1, there’s no guarantee he will be ready that soon.
You might want to jump on the Chiefs Super Bowl odds now as they are +1500. That number will likely shrink quite a bit as Kansas City continues to aggressively upgrade their roster in the off-season.
