They certainly expect him to. Wentz signed a four-year contract extension in June worth $128 million including $107.9 million in guarantees.

The 2018 season was marred by inconsistency for the Philly team, going 30th against the pass in the league. The Eagles allowed the 12th fewest points in the NFL but were 23rd in total yards allowed.

There were some big moves for the Eagles this offseason, with some major players headed out of town, and some impressive new ones coming in. Wentz got a few solid weapons in the offseason, getting DeSean Jackson from the Bucs and Jordan Howard from the Bears, who should make a big impact at the running back position. In this year’s draft, Philly traded a mid-round pick and a late-round pick to the Ravens to move up the line and get OL Andre Dillard. Next they picked up Penn State running back Miles Sanders. A later pick, Stanford wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside, wasn’t making waves early on before the draft, but is now considered one the Eagles’ best picks this season.
