Philadelphia Eagles NFL Prediction: 2019 Season Betting Odds and Preview
Nick Foles, who was the Super Bowl hero in 2017 after stepping up in a big way to replace an injured Wentz, is now a Jacksonville Jaguar, meaning that the Eagles really need their starter to last the entire season. They certainly expect him to. Wentz signed a four-year contract extension in June worth $128 million including $107.9 million in guarantees.
The 2018 season was marred by inconsistency for the Philly team, going 30th against the pass in the league. The Eagles allowed the 12th fewest points in the NFL but were 23rd in total yards allowed.
Philadelphia Eagles Acquisitions and Moves
There were some big moves for the Eagles this offseason, with some major players headed out of town, and some impressive new ones coming in. The biggest story was the predictable exit of Nick Foles, but the team also said goodbye to wide receiver Golden Tate, receiver Jordan Matthews, and linebackers Jordan Hicks and D.J. Alexander.
Wentz got a few solid weapons in the offseason, getting DeSean Jackson from the Bucs and Jordan Howard from the Bears, who should make a big impact at the running back position. The Eagles then made moves to give them an unstoppable pair of tackles, signing Fletcher Cox and former Jacksonville tackle Malik Jackson.
In this year’s draft, Philly traded a mid-round pick and a late-round pick to the Ravens to move up the line and get OL Andre Dillard. Next they picked up Penn State running back Miles Sanders. A later pick, Stanford wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside, wasn’t making waves early on before the draft, but is now considered one the Eagles’ best picks this season.

Philadelphia Eagles NFL 2019 Odds
The NFC East is will very likely be dominated by both the Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. They’re also the +100 favorites to win the NFC East, ahead of the Cowboys, Redskins and Giants. As of this writing, the Eagles have been listed at +1400 to win the Lombardi trophy.
Philadelphia Eagles NFL Prediction
The Eagles have all the ingredients necessary to be one of the best teams in their conference, IF (and that’s a big if) Carson Wentz stays healthy. If he does, don’t be surprised to see the team go 12-4 and possibly contend for the NFC East crown.
