Philadelphia Eagles 2026 NFL odds, season preview, analysis and predictions
The Philadelphia Eagles are going for their third consecutive NFC East title and their ninth playoff berth in the last 10 seasons. During this stretch, they have advanced to the Super Bowl three times, winning it at the end of the 2017 and 2024 seasons. Last year, though, was a bit of a disappointment. Philadelphia won an atrocious division despite losing four of its last seven regular-season games and then fell to San Francisco in round one of the playoffs.
Star receiver AJ Brown is gone (traded to New England), but otherwise the band is mostly back together. Do Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith and Jalen Carter have enough help around them to make a run at another Lombardi Trophy?

Philadelphia Eagles NFL futures
Win the Super Bowl (+1600)
Win the NFC (+820)
Win the NFC East (+115)
Make the playoffs (-186)
Jalen Hurts to win NFL MVP (+2800)
Saquon Barkley to win Offensive Player of the Year (+1800)
Jalen Carter to win Defensive Player of the Year (+2800)
The odds are surprisingly long for a franchise that racks up playoff berths seemingly with ease and has advanced all the way to the Super Bowl with borderline regularity over the past decade. Even the individual markets such as Hurts to win MVP and Barkley to be named OPOY are rather enticing.
Brown’s absence will obviously hurt, but Smith and Dallas Goedert can pick up the pass-catching slack along with rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon. The defence is stacked on paper, so the offence does not necessarily have to be elite for this team to be successful.
Philadelphia Eagles squad strengths
Speaking of the defence, it features Carter at defensive end, Jordan Davis at tackle, Nolan Smith at Zack Baun at linebacker and Cooper DeJean in the secondary. The unit may not have been dominant last year, but it gave up the fifth-fewest points, finished No. 12 in sacks and was No. 14 in takeaways.
On the other side of the ball, Philadelphia boasts one of the best players in the NFL in Barkley. The Penn State product took an understandable step back from his 2,005-yard rushing effort in 2024, but he still amassed 1,413 yards from scrimmage and nine total touchdowns.
Philadelphia Eagles squad weaknesses
Who is going to fill Brown’s void at receiver? The Eagles selected Lemon with the No. 20 overall pick and naturally expect him to make an immediate impact. They also added Dontayvion Wicks from Green Bay, Hollywood Brown from Kansas City and Elijah Moore from Buffalo. Those guys have potential, but they aren’t AJ Brown.
Philly’s offensive line was very good last year, but a couple of key pieces are getting up there in age, and they may have to give Hurts even more time to throw the ball in 2026 now that he does not have Brown as a safety valve.
Philadelphia Eagles 2026 NFL season prediction: To make the playoffs (-186)
This team has top-end talent on offence, and its defence is extremely deep. That is a good recipe for success. Being in a division with the Commanders, Cowboys and Giants may not be a bad thing, either. Washington’s 2024 surge may have been a fluke, Dallas is a perennial underachiever and New York – even with head coach John Harbaugh – is young and entirely unproven.
Asking them to take down the Rams or Seahawks in the playoffs may be a little bit too much, but the Eagles really should not have too much trouble securing a postseason spot.
