Two teams coming off improbable, come-from-behind wins in Week 8 meet up in Buffalo when the Bills host the Oakland Raiders.

Raiders vs. Bills

Point Spread: Bills -2.5

Date: Oct. 29, 1:00 PM ET

New Era Field – Orchard Park, New York

Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Bills opened as 3-point chalk on the Sports Interaction NFL odds board but bettors moved the line down to 2.5. The total opened at 45.5.

Buffalo won but failed to cover against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – moving its ATS record for the season to 4-1-1. Oakland’s 1-point victory over the Kansas City Chiefs was its first ATS win since Week 2. The Raiders are 3-4 straight up and against the spread on the season.

The under is 4-2 in the Bills’ six games this year and 13-3 in their last 16 home games.

Oakland won and covered 38-24 at home against Buffalo in Week 13 last season as 3-point chalk. The Raiders are 5-0 ATS in their last five games against the Bills.

Nearly 75 percent of Sports Interaction customers like the Raiders to cover as 2.5-point road underdogs while about 70 percent expect the game to play over the 45.5-point total.

Raiders

Oakland running back Marshawn Lynch is expected to miss this game after he received a one-game suspension from the league for his actions on the field against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7’s Thursday night game.

Lynch is appealing the ruling and sports bettors should find out later in the week if beast mode will be busting loose or riding the bench.

With or without Lynch, the Raiders need more steady play from Derek Carr and the passing attack. Carr’s performance last week was the first time he’s thrown for more than 230 yards in a game since Week 1.

Bills

Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott was listening when NFL writers and commentators predicted a down year for the Bills this season. McDermott told reporters after the improbable win over the Buccaneers that he’s been using the preseason expert opinions as motivation for his players.

The Bills are fourth in points allowed per game (16.8) and their opponents are scoring touchdowns on just 38.9 percent of their trips inside the red zone.
