NFL Week 9 Weather Report: Chilly Conditions in Green Bay for Rams vs. Packers

Mother Nature is being very generous and kind for Week 9 in the NFL. Pretty much every fan base attending a game outdoors will benefit from decent weather. The significant chill of last week in certain areas is mostly gone and the winds are relatively calm everywhere.

There are perhaps two venues for which the climate will need to be considered, so let’s check out the weather report.

NFL Week 9 Weather Report

Los Angeles Rams at Green Bay Packers

The climate for this match isn’t anything to be significantly worried about, at least not by Canadian standards. Temperatures will be as low as 8 C. It doesn’t sound terrible until one realizes the road team is from Los Angeles and plays its home games indoors. Might the Rams feel a slight chill down their spine?

Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs (Frankfurt, Germany)

The only contest played outside the U.S. this weekend is the one with the worst weather and it’s not even close. Presumably, the conditions won’t be a factor because Deutsche Bank Park has a retractable roof which is used when the Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt plays its home matches.

Just in case…plenty of rain is predicted, with 80 per cent of the Frankfurt territory getting some. Furthermore, it’s a contest involving the Miami Dolphins on day that will not only be wet but barely 12 C. It won’t be pleasant, refreshing rain. Lastly, the Frankfurt region will be blasted with heavy winds, with speeds as high as 30 mph per hour. It’s difficult to imagine the NFL allowing this game to be played with the roof open, but we figured we’d let betters know about these conditions regardless.
