Tennessee Titans at Pittsburgh Steelers: Say NO to mayonnaise in coffee

Second round draft pick Will Levis was one of the bigger storylines to come out of Week 8. In his first career NFL start, Levis threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns in the Titans’ 28-23 win against Atlanta. He connected with DeAndre Hopkins four times for 128 yards and three TDs and also hit Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for a 33-yard score.

We’re playing party pooper in Week 9, however, as Levis and the Titans will be in for a much tougher test on the road against Pittsburgh’s defence. The Steelers defence has allowed just two total touchdown passes over their last three games (Ravens, Rams, Jaguars) and they’ll feast against Tennessee’s terrible offensive line.

NFL Week 9 Prediction: Will Levis Under 1.5 passing TDs (-250)

Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs: Run with Raheem

With Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle leading Miami’s attack through the air, it can be easy to overlook Raheem Mostert’s importance to the Dolphins’ offence. Mostert didn’t feature heavily last week, but that was because Tagovailoa picked apart New England’s pass defence and Hill and Waddle each had well over 100 receiving yards.

We’re banking on the run game being more of a focus for Miami this week in Germany. They have a banged up offensive line and they’ll need to be more conservative against Kansas City’s elite secondary. Mostert is averaging 65 rushing yards per game this season and he should see more carries against the Chiefs.

NFL Week 9 Prediction: Raheem Mostert Over 52.5 rushing yards (-115)

Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Cool is heating up

Joe Burrow and the Bengals had a bumpy start to the season, but they played their best game of the year last week for a third straight win. Burrow came alive against the 49ers, throwing for 283 yards and three TDs with a career-high 87.3 completion percentage. At one point, Burrow had 19 straight completions, one short of Ken Anderson’s franchise record.

Expect another big performance from Burrow and the Bengals against Buffalo in Week 9. Burrow seems to be over the calf injury that has plagued him since training camp and he’s facing a Bills team that has looked far from dominant recently. Buffalo is two weeks removed from a humbling loss against a bad Patriots team and they bounced back with, at best, an average performance last week against the Buccaneers. We like Burrow to be even better in Week 9.

NFL Week 9 Prediction: Joe Burrow Over 262.5 passing yards (-115)

Los Angeles Chargers at New York Jets: West Coast vs. East Coast

Austin Ekeler has been one of the most versatile running backs in the league for a few years now. His first TD catch of the season in last week’s win resulted in a trio of milestones. Ekeler is the first running back in the Super Bowl era to reach 30 TD catches with the same time, he is the seventh player in NFL history to have 30 touchdown rushing and 30 receiving and he also has a league-leading 40 TDs from scrimmage since 2021.

We like Ekeler to have a stronger performance on the ground than in the air in Week 9 for a couple of reasons. First, he’s now played three games since returning from an early-season ankle injury and he looks comfortable taking heavier contact. And secondly, the Jets have a strong pass defence which should force L.A. to rely on their run-game and feed Ekeler the ball on the ground.

NFL Week 9 Prediction: Austin Ekeler Over 46.5 rushing yards (-115)
