NFL Week 7 Weather Report: Wind Expect in New York, Philly, Foxborough

All things considered Week 7 in the NFL will be played under mostly ideal conditions. It isn’t expected to rain much, if at all, in any cities where games are played outside. At worst, about 35 per cent of the Seattle and Foxborough regions will receive some rain.

Even regarding wind, there aren’t any dramatic situations this Sunday. It’s considered that speeds approaching 20 miles per hour carry the potential to affect the kicking a little bit. Field goals and punts get more challenging once winds surpass those speeds.

NFL Week 7 Weather Report

Washington Commanders at New York Giants

This will probably be the direst weather conditions of the day. The New Jersey region will receive winds up to 21 miles per hour in the afternoon.

Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots

In addition to the very mild rain (again, only about 35 per cent), wind speeds will reach up to 18 miles per hour at around kick off, although they slow down to around 15 as the game reaches its conclusion.

Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore is another city that will be windy on Sunday afternoon. Speeds reach up to 19 miles per hour at kickoff and will remain about the same throughout the day. Ravens’ Justin Tucker is an old hat at kicking under challenging conditions, but Lions’ Riley Patterson is less experienced.

Miami Dolphins at Philadelphia Eagles

Finally, Sunday evening in Philadelphia is expected to feature some gusts. Speeds will reach up to 18 miles per hour at around kickoff but slow down as the night progresses.
