NFL Week 3 Schedule and Betting Lines

Week 3 of the NFL schedule kicks off on Thursday night as the Washington Redskins visit the New York Giants for an NFC East divisional game. The betting lines are currently favoring the Giants at -3, even though Washington hasn’t imploded the way many thought they would after the preseason drama that surrounded them. The Giants have managed to go 0-2, losing two games that could have very easily been won if not for some terrible coaching and lack of discipline.

The Detroit Lions will host the Denver Broncos on Sunday night and it could be a sloppy affair. Both teams are struggling offensively, with Peyton Manning posting the worst passer rating in the league in two weeks of play, while the Lions simply can’t seem to find their playmakers. Denver will once again have to rely on their defense, which is miles better than Detroit’s suddenly ineffective pass rush and sieve-like secondary.

Lambeau Field gets the spotlight in prime time for a second week in a row as the Chiefs visit the Packers in Green Bay for Monday Night Football. Kansas City will have their hands full with Aaron Rodgers, who is infallible on his home turf, but Jamaal Charles could just as easily give the Green Bay defense fits. The Chiefs will hope that’s the case as they can’t afford to fall further behind Denver in the AFC West rankings, and our betting lines have them as +7 underdogs.
