NFL Week 18 Contract Incentives: Saquon Barkley, Sam Darnold among players with money on the line

Entering the final week of the NFL season, the majority of playoff teams have been decided, but there’s still plenty to play for from an individual perspective.

Beyond playoff positioning, Week 18 is the last chance for players to hit contract incentives and there’s a lot of cash on the line. This info could be crucial for your player props or futures’ wagers in Week 18, so pay attention.

Let’s get into with the most notable contract incentives that could cash in Week 18.

Saquon Barkley, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Saquon Barkley can earn a $250,000 bonus for hitting 1,500 all-purpose yards this season.

Sitting at 1,413 total yards, Barkley needs 87 in Week 18, a number he has surpassed in eight of 16 games.

Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks

Sam Darnold can cash in big with $2 million in incentives for reaching 28 passing touchdowns, 4,000 passing yards, a 67.5 completion percentage and a 100 passer rating.

Darnold needs to throw for three touchdowns and 150 yards with a completion percentage of 30 and a passer rating of 80.0 to hit those bonuses.

Deebo Samuel, WR, Washington Commanders

Deebo Samuel is eligible for a $450,000 bonus for 800 receiving yards and a $250,000 bonus for eight touchdowns.

In the final game of the season, Samuel will need to post 93 receiving yards and haul in two touchdowns to secure that extra money. However, he’s only hit that receiving yards total once this season and he has no games with multiple TDs.

Stefon Diggs, WR, New England Patriots

Stefon Diggs is going through some legal trouble at the moment, so it remains to be seen if he’ll even play this week. If he does, he’s just 30 receiving yards from a $500,000 bonus for 1,000 yards.

Diggs already cashed a $500,000 bonus for hauling in his 80th reception of the season last week.

Bradley Chubb, LB, Miami Dolphins

Bradley Chubb has a little over $5 million in incentives on the line. He’s already secured more than $3 million in snap count incentives, over $2 million in sack incentives and another $900,000 for recording eight sacks, but those bonuses are wholly contingent on Miami’s defence finishing top-20 in points allowed per game.

The Dolphins currently boast the 21-ranked defence, allowing 24.1 ppg, trailing No. 20 Atlanta (24.0 ppg). Miami’s defence needs to shut down the Patriots or Chubb will lose all his bonus money.

Hollywood Brown, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

Hollywood Brown gets a $750,000 bonus for reaching six touchdowns and a $1M bonus for eight touchdowns.

Brown, who is at five TDs on the year, has one game with multiple touchdowns this season.

Nick Chubb, RB, Houston Texans

Nick Chubb can earn another $250,000 for reaching 600 rushing yards this season.

Sitting at 506 rushing yards, Chubb needs 94 against the Colts, however, his season-high is 61 yards.

Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Keenan Allen is six receptions from hitting 80 on the season, which would cash a $750,000 bonus.

Allen has recorded six or more receptions three times this season, but he’s fallen below that number in nine straight.

Rico Dowdle, RB, Carolina Panthers

Rico Dowdle has a $1M bonus attached to reaching 1,350 total yards.

It should be a pretty easy week for Dowdle as he’s just seven scrimmage yards away from locking in that bonus.

Arik Armstead, DL, Jacksonville Jaguars

Arik Armstead is 1.5 sacks away from locking up a $1M bonus for reaching seven sacks on the season.

It could be tough for Armstead against the Titans, as he has gone five straight games without a sack and he hasn’t recorded more than one sack in any game this season.

Von Miller, OLB, Washington Commanders

Von Miller is one sack away from securing a $1M bonus for nine sacks this season.

The Eagles will be on high alert for Miller, who has three sacks in his last four games.
