As per the NFL rules, a 28-day buffer is required if a Thursday night game is to be flexed out of its slot. This makes sense given that teams playing on Sunday should know well in advance if they are to be battling a full three days earlier than expected. On the downside, it means that it was far too late to flex out the Patriots visiting the Steelers, two of the worst offences in the NFL, with one of those teams, New England, at 2-10.

Be that as it may, Pittsburgh is still in the hunt for a playoff spot with their respectable 7-5 tally.

Which players are nursing injuries and may miss tonight’s game? Let’s head to the clinic.
