NFL Preview: Unbeaten Dolphins Host Jets in Miami

One week after putting in the best performance of his NFL career to date, Mark Sanchez leads the Jets on a tough road trip to Miami.

Defense to dominate in Miami
The Jets and the Dolphins have looked dominant on defense in the early weeks of the season. Collectively, New York and Miami have conceded just 44 points in the first two weeks of the year. With defenses in this kind of form, don’t expect a high scoring game on Sunday Night Football.

Efficiency on offense will be the key for New York and Miami this weekend. Mark Sanchez was particular effective in this regard last week going 21 of 30, a 70 percent completion rate, with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions against the Patriots. It was a marked improvement from his poor showing against the Ravens but I’m not ready to jump on the bandwagon just yet. Sanchez will be aided heavily by New York’s one-two punch of LaDainian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene. LT has, through the first two weeks, been playing like the LT of old. His leap on fourth down last week to essentially ice the game sent out a message to the whole league. This is a man who will do whatever it takes to get his ring.

Unfortunately I don’t see LT enjoying quite as much success this weekend. NFL betting fans should watch to see how Rex Ryan balances the offense against what promises to be an aggressive Miami defense. I like Miami to move to 3-0 by winning its first home game of the year. Get ready for 0-3
Sunday will be time to press the panic button in Buffalo. News that the Patriots have lost Kevin Faulk for the year isn’t going to make Bills fans rest any easier. New England will still prove a daunting foe on Sunday. If, as expected, Buffalo falls to the Patriots then the Bills will move to 0-3. That’s the point at which fans of good teams start worrying about playoff hopes. Fans of bad teams, like Buffalo, look at 0-3 and pray it doesn’t become 0-16.

We’ve a long way to go before Buffalo achieves the perfect donut. Still, can you blame fans of a team with Trent Edwards as its quarterback for worrying about the future? I like the Patriots to win and win big on Sunday. Bet on New England at -14.5 with Sports Interaction.
