NFL Odds: Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders starting against 49ers in Week 13

Shedeur Sanders has earned a second career start.

After leading the Cleveland Browns to a 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, head coach Kevin Stefanski has confirmed Sanders will be the starter in Week 13 against the visiting San Francisco 49ers.

Shedeur Sanders

Sanders, the son of Hall-of-Famer Deion Sanders, completed 11 of 20 passes against the Raiders, finishing with 209 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception.

The Tyler, Texas native gets the nod ahead of fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, who has been cleared from the NFL’s concussion protocol.

It’s likely a short leash for Sanders, who was selected 144th overall by Cleveland in the 2025 NFL draft. Gabriel was taken 94th overall in the same draft, while Bailey Zappe and Deshaun Watson fill out a packed quarterback room.

Cleveland Browns

The win against Las Vegas didn’t drastically change Cleveland’s playoff outlook. The 3-8 Browns sit last in the AFC North behind Baltimore (6-5), Pittsburgh (6-5) and Cincinnati (3-8, hold the tiebreaker).

The Browns’ implied playoff probability is listed at one per cent on the NFL’s playoff picture forecast. A more realistic bet that actually offers solid value is taking Cleveland to finish with over 5.5 wins. The Browns still have winnable games against the Titans, Bears and Bengals left on their schedule.
