If you thought the Denver Broncos’ second-half collapse against the New England Patriots last week was going to scare off bettors, think again.

Despite blowing a 24-point lead against the Pats, the Broncos opened as a 3.5-point favorite in Week 13 at the Kansas City Chiefs. That line held until Tuesday, but it’s been on its way up ever since. As of now, Denver is pegged as a 5.5-point favorite. The move isn’t shocking since the Broncos handled the Chiefs 27-17 in Week 10, but that was at home and weather could be a bigger factor in this one. That said, Kansas City has dropped two and a row and is just 1-4 against the spread in the last five games.

Other odds on the move

If you liked the over in the Thanksgiving game between Oakland and Dallas, you may have already missed the best number you’ll see. The Cowboys are always a hot bet on Thanksgiving. They opened as 9.5-point favorites but that number is down to -8 now. The total opened at 45.5 but has inching upward ever since. It’s up to 47.5.

Bettors took notice when the Rams hammered the Bears last week after humiliating the Colts the week before. St. Louis opened Week 13 as a 9.5-point underdog at San Francisco but is now holding at +8. The Rams have now covered in three of their last four.

Another line to keep an eye on is Miami at the New York Jets. New York opened at -2 and is bouncing around between that number and -1.5. Miami hung around with the Panthers last week and dropped the Chargers in Week 11, so they could be tough here though weather may play a big factor as well.

Week 13’s most popular bets

For Thursday’s Thanksgiving games 67 percent of our is action on the Detroit Lions at -7 against Green Bay, Dallas (-8) is holding 62 percent of the action vs. Oak, and Pittsburgh (+2.5) is at 64 percent at Baltimore.

Looking forward, New England is easily the most popular bet on the NFL board this weekend with 95 percent of our bets coming in on the Pats as they visit the Houston Texans.
