How to Bet Week 5 of the 2025 NFL Season: Only the Bills and Eagles remain undefeated

Sports Interaction is back with everything you need to know to bet Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season.

Some of the storylines I’m focusing on this week include a second straight European game for the Minnesota Vikings and the last two remaining undefeated teams, Buffalo and Philadelphia, looking to improve to 5-0.

Let’s jump in.

Minnesota Vikings at Cleveland Browns

The 2-2 Minnesota Vikings continue their European trip with a matchup against the 1-3 Cleveland Browns in London.

Minnesota just dropped a 24-21 decision to the Steelers in Dublin last week, but you have to give the edge to a Vikings squad adjusted to the time zone.

The Browns boast the best total defence in the NFL, however they suffered blowout losses in both previous road games this season.

Travelling to another continent won’t cure those road woes in Cleveland.

Pick: Vikings -3.5

Denver Broncos at Philadelphia Eagles

The 2-2 Denver Broncos are headed to the City of Brotherly Love in Week 5 to face one of just two remaining undefeated teams in the NFL.

Denver’s defence will have to show up in this spot and I think they will. Philadelphia has struggled to close out games and noticeably struggles in the second half.

The Eagles really haven’t dominated, with their average margin of victory coming by five points. And the 4-0 record deserves an asterisk after a disastrous blocked field goal at the end of the Rams game.

This feels like a late field goal game. I like Philly to win, but Denver to cover.

Pick: Broncos +3.5

Detroit Lions at Cincinnati Bengals

After a setback in Week 1, the Lions have been impressive with three straight blowout victories over Chicago, Baltimore and Cleveland. They now have their sights set on a 2-2 Bengals squad that essentially saw their season end with the injury to Joe Burrow.

This is a big number, but Detroit is winning by an average margin of 21 points over the last three weeks. Meanwhile, Cincinnati has been absolutely crushed in the two games without Burrow, losing 48-10 to Minnesota and 28-3 to Denver.

The NFL might want to consider implementing a mercy rule after how bad this game will go for the Bengals.

Pick: Lions -10.5

SNF New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

The other undefeated team in the NFL is the Buffalo Bills, who will host the 2-2 New England Patriots in Week 5.

Buffalo has looked every bit the Super Bowl favourite through the first month of the season. Josh Allen is playing at an MVP level and everything has been smooth sailing.

However, the Patriots also deserve their flowers. The offence has looked solid with Drake Maye and Stefon Diggs steering the ship and I don’t like picking blowouts with divisional opponents who know each other well.

Give me the points, but count on a Bills dub.

Pick: Patriots +8

MNF Kansas City Chiefs at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Kansas City Chiefs have crawled back to .500 on the season and they’ll look to keep that momentum going in primetime against a Jacksonville Jaguars squad that only has one loss on their record.

Kansas City essentially saved their season with last week’s win in Baltimore and I like that momentum to carry over this week.

And quite frankly, I’m shocked the Jaguars are 3-1. I don’t buy into Jacksonville being a real threat this year and I think this is the week they come back to reality.

Let’s see the Chiefs team that has terrorized the NFL in the Patrick Mahomes era.

Pick: Chiefs -3.5
