Let’s dive right in.

Thursday Night Football: Commanders at Packers
The Packers are coming off a statement win in Week 1, thoroughly outclassing division-rival Detroit. The Commanders also got off on the right foot with a Week 1 victory, although it’s hard to judge where they are at in a game against an opponent as weak as the Giants.
This should be an easy cover for Green Bay this week. I’m particularly looking at the matchup between new Packers stud Micah Parsons and Washington rookie right tackle Josh Conerly Jr. as something Parsons and Green Bay can exploit.
On top of that, Jordan Love and the offence really clicked last week. The Packers basically coasted through the second half against Detroit, so the stats don’t dictate how well the offence performed.
Parlay Pick: Packers -3.5 + Jordan Love Over 1.5 passing TDs
Sunday Night Football: Falcons at Vikings
It’s the home debut for rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy on Sunday, who led Minnesota to an impressive comeback victory over Chicago on Monday Night Football. Meanwhile, Atlanta fell by a field goal against Tampa Bay in Week 1.
It was a tale of two halves for McCarthy in his NFL debut. After missing all of last year injured, McCarthy looked nervous and struggled in the first half of his NFL debut. He really flipped things around in the second half, however, finishing with two passing TDs and a rushing TD in the fourth quarter alone.
I think McCarthy will only continue to improve, so I like the Vikings at home against a Falcons team dealing with some injury issues.
Parlay Pick: Vikings -3.5 + total Over 44.5
Monday Night Football: Buccaneers at Texans
Tampa Bay and Houston both played lower scoring games in Week 1, with the Bucs beating Atlanta 23-20 and the Texans falling 14-9 against the Rams.
Houston’s offence was shockingly bad in Week 1. CJ Stroud threw for just 188 yards with no TDs and one interception and no receiver had more than 32 yards in the air. The offensive line is taking a lot of heat after Stroud was sacked three times. That’s a recipe for disaster against a Bucs squad that had the sixth-most sacks (46) in the NFL last season.
I like Baker Mayfield and co. to win this game outright.
Parlay Pick: Buccaneers moneyline + total Under 42.5
Monday Night Football: Chargers at Raiders
The Chargers should be well rested after their 27-21 upset win over Kansas City last Friday in Brazil. The Raiders also got off on the right foot this season, taking out New England 20-13 on the road.
Justin Herbert continues to improve under head coach Jim Harbaugh and that showed last week as he threw for 318 yards and three TDs, helping snap a seven-game losing streak against the Chiefs. I don’t see why that doesn’t continue this week. In nine career games against the Raiders, Herbert is averaging 279.5 yards with 18 total passing TDs and just two interceptions.
I’m sticking with Herbert and a well-rested Chargers team.
Parlay Pick: Chargers -3.5 + Justin Herbert Over 247.5 passing yards
