How to Bet NFL Week 4: Another Monday double-header
We’re down to just five 3-0 teams in the NFL and at least four of them could be in danger in their Week 4 matchups.
Let’s go over the biggest games and look for some betting nuggets ahead of Week 4.
Thursday Night Football: Cowboys at Giants

Outside of a win against the lowly Browns, the Dallas Cowboys have been an absolute mess this year. Dallas has arguably the worst defence in the NFL and they rank dead last against the rush, allowing an average of 185.7 yards on the ground per game and giving up eight rushing TDs so far this season.
I’m high on Giants running back Devin Singletary scoring a touchdown against a struggling Cowboys defence that’s on the road and on a short week. Singletary has a rushing TD in each of his last two games and he’s also a receiving threat. This is a slam-dunk.
Week 4 pick: Devin Singletary anytime touchdown
Chiefs at Chargers

While Kansas City is off to a perfect start, they’ve had some lucky breaks and if not for a few significant calls going their way, they could easily be 0-3. And while I won’t bet against Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs, early-season Mahomes hasn’t been spectacular. He’s thrown four interceptions and he’s averaging just 219 passing yards per game.
You also have to consider how good the Chargers defence has been against the pass this season as they’re limiting opponents to an average of 175.3 passing yards per game. I’m still on KC to win, but I think there’s a chance they get the lead early and go run-heavy in the second half.
Week 4 pick: Patrick Mahomes Under 254.5 passing yards
Sunday Night Football: Bills at Ravens

The Bills have been the most impressive team in the NFL this season, so getting them at plus-money on the moneyline is a no-brainer. Buffalo is undefeated, they have scored the most points in the league and they have the best point differential. I don’t get why they’re underdogs.
The Bills already spanked Miami on the road and I think they’ll do enough to beat the Ravens in Baltimore. I see this game coming down to a late field goal. While we’re at it, I think Buffalo should be the Super Bowl favourite on the NFL futures board so it’s great value to get them at +800 behind Kansas City (+425) and San Francisco (+700).
Week 4 pick: Bills moneyline
Monday Night Football: Titans at Dolphins

Out of the three winless teams in the NFL (Tennessee, Cincinnati and Jacksonville), the Titans are easily the worst. Tennessee hasn’t shown any sign of life in losses to the Bears, Jets and Packers, and Will Levis is a pick-machine with two multi-interception games already, this season.
I still think Carolina and New England will challenge Tennessee for the most losses this season, so I’m focused on the Titans’ win total. and the only game they should favoured to win is their Week 9 home date against the Pats. I don’t see how they can possibly string together at least seven wins this season.
Week 4 pick: Titans Under 6.5 regular season wins
Monday Night Football: Seahawks at Lions

This should be a great matchup as Detroit has looked really good and Seattle has surprised with a 3-0 start to the year. I think this is a reality check week for the Seahawks, however. They’re an elite defensive team, but they have a middle-of-the-pack offence that will struggle to keep pace with Jared Goff, David Montgomery and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Speaking of Goff, he’s money in a dome, going a sizzling 26-9 ATS indoors over the last three years. Detroit also boasts the fourth-best total offence in the NFL (399.7 ypg) and seventh-best passing offence (236.7 ypg). I think the Lions easily cover this number and I see them winning by a touchdown.
Week 4 pick: Lions -3.5
