NFL: Super Bowl LIX-Kansas City Chiefs at Philadelphia Eagles

While the Eagles remain solidly in party mode, the Super Bowl 60 betting odds are officially live.

The Big Game is over and done for another year and rather than think about how slow the next several months will be without NFL football, let’s look ahead at some early Super Bowl 60 betting odds.

The usual suspects round out the top five Super Bowl 60 favourites, so let’s dive right in.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles were incredibly impressive this season. Saquon Barkley literally ran away with the Offensive Player of the Year award and the team boasted arguably the best defence in the NFL. Before Jalen Hurts won Super Bowl MVP, I would have said he was the main concern, but he proved he is capable of coming in clutch when it matters most. The Super Bowl was a masterclass of elite coaching and skill on both sides of the ball. It’s tough to bet against Philadelphia heading into next season.

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens just can’t seem to get out of their own way in the playoffs. Lamar Jackson‘s reputation as a quarterback who can’t get it done in the biggest games continues to grow, but this is still a top-three offence in the NFL and it should remain relatively intact heading into next year. Can Baltimore steal a little bit of Kansas City’s clutch gene in 2025? By the way, that last sentence was written before the Chiefs puked all over themselves in the Super Bowl.

Buffalo Bills

It felt like this was the year Buffalo would slay the dragon that is Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, so another loss in the AFC Championship Game has to be an absolute gut-punch. There’s cause for optimism, however, as Josh Allen continues to improve every season and the team shouldn’t lose any major pieces of the roster. A few key moves in the off-season could put the Bills over the top.

Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City’s blowout loss in Super Bowl 59 was one of the most shocking results in recent memory, but as long as Patrick Mahomes is in his prime and Andy Reid is behind the bench, this is the team to beat in the AFC. But, it’s important to remember KC could be headed for a lot of change this off-season. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Travis Kelce retire and even if he doesn’t, the Chiefs still need a serious overhaul of their receiving corps. After the lack of protection Mahomes received in the Super Bowl, the offensive line could be in for major changes, as well.

Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions were easily the biggest disappointment in this year’s playoffs after failing to get out of the Divisional Round against Washington. Head coach Dan Campbell lost both his coordinators to head coaching gigs (Ben Johnson with the Bears, Aaron Glenn with the Jets) and next year will be the last season before Jared Goff is given a massive salary increase. This might be the last year Detroit’s window is open.
