Eagles vs. Broncos Point Spread: NFL Week 10 Odds, Prediction
To reiterate, the AFC West’s last place Denver Broncos and the NFC East’s second place Philadelphia Eagles. The Broncos are in a strong division, while Philadelphia’s not. Regardless, both teams need a surge to have any real post-season shot.
Kickoff at Empower Field at Mile High is set for 4:25 p.m. EST. The Broncos are a 2.5-point favourite at home with the total listed at 45.
NFL Week 10 Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Shall we continue these teams’ odd team statistics? Philadelphia’s winless in four games at home but are above .500 on the road (3-2). Denver’s got the best point differential in their division but again is in last place. The Eagles have scored 40 more points than Denver has in 2021 (in the same amount of games).
And while the Broncos are 7-2 to the under in 2021 and on a 5-1 under trend versus the NFC East, the last six Philadelphia–Denver games have all gone over the total.
In terms of what to actually expect, look toward the ground game. Both teams rushed for over 175 yards in Week 9 and rank in the top 11 this season in yards per rush.
Philadelphia Eagles
Despite a 27-24 loss at home to the Chargers the Eagles found success on offence. Philadelphia relied on their running attack with 176 yards on 39 attempts, with quarterback Jalen Hurts counting for 62 of those yards to go with his 162 through the air. DeVonta Smith was Hurts’ go-to target with five catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles also converted on eight of their 12 third downs.
Defence is the real issue in Philly. In five games against Dak Prescott, Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Derek Carr, and now Justin Herbert, Philadelphia has only forced 28 incompletions. To no surprise, the Eagles are the NFL’s second-worst team in time of possession percentage.
Denver Broncos
In a week littered with upsets, Denver looked the most dominant in their Cinderella role. The Broncos went into Dallas as double-digit underdogs and through the first half shut out the Cowboys, the league’s third-highest scoring offence. Denver held Dallas to 290 yards of offence and 16 points in the entire game which is impressive in its own.
The Broncos pounded the football on the Cowboys too with 41 carries for 190 yards. Rookie Javonte Williams had his first 100-yard game with 111 rushing yards on 17 carries and then Melvin Gordon contributed with 80 yards on 21 attempts. Teddy Bridgewater looked great too with 249 yards and a touchdown on 19 of 28 passing, good for a 107.6 quarterback rating.
