Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey Injures Meniscus at Training Camp
The NFL’s Tom Pelissero broke the news on Thursday. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey will require knee surgery for an injury to his meniscus. The Miami Dolphins’ star defensive player suffered a bad hit when he collided with wide receiver Tyreek Hill during a drill. Early prognostic is that he’ll miss six-to-eight weeks, but that could change.

Dolphins’ Jalen Ramsey to Miss Six to Eight Weeks
Ramsey’s injury, as well as the perpetual question marks surrounding QB Tua Tagovailoa’s health, suddenly puts a damper on the Miami Dolphins’ prospects of success in 2023.
The Pro Bowl-caliber corner was brought in from Los Angeles after spending four seasons with the Rams and winning the Super Bowl for the 2021 campaign.
Miami was not especially efficient on defence in 2022. They coughed up 337.8 total yards per game (18th). Worse, they were 27th against the pass. Signing Ramsey was viewed as a big deal and carried the potential to spruce up a leaky secondary.
In a testament to the impact of having a player like him on the field, the Rams – one of the worst teams in the NFL in 2022 – were seventh in defending the pass.
