First Quarter: Both teams came out of the gate slow, with neither side able to put points on the board. The Vikings’ defense looked sharp early, keeping steady pressure on Colts quarterback Joe Flacco and not giving him any breathing room. Fourth Quarter: Darnold wasn’t done yet. He connected with rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison on a 7-yard touchdown, stretching Minnesota’s lead to 21-10. Justin Jefferson, who had 137 receiving yards on the day, made some crucial catches to keep drives alive and keep the pressure on the Colts’ defense. Indianapolis managed another field goal, a 54-yarder by Gay, to bring it to 21-13, but their final onside kick attempt was recovered by none other than Jefferson, sealing the game for the Vikings.
