Chargers WR Mike Williams to Miss Rest of 2023
It’s a big blow to a club that fought tooth and nail in Week 3 to improve its record to just 1-2 with a thrilling 28-24 victory. While not as eye-popping as his teammate Keenan Allen’s stats, Williams was having a great day, catching seven passes for 121 yards and a touchdown thrown by Allen himself.
Williams is in the second season of a three-year $60 million dollar extension he signed in 2022.
It’s expected that first-year receiver Quentin Johnston will play many more snaps to help the pass-catching corps share the load in lieu of their star’s absence.
The Los Angeles Chargers return home for a Week 4 date with the Las Vegas Raiders.
