Broncos vs. Vikings Point Spread: NFL Predictions, Week 11 Odds
With the most challenging stretch of the calendar behind them, the Minnesota Vikings are poised to make a run at the Green Bay Packers for top spot in the NFC North – and that quest resumes Sunday as the Vikings host the Denver Broncos. Minnesota is coming off a hard-fought 28-24 win over Dallas to wind up a 1-1 road trip – and with four of their final six regular-season games at home, the Vikings are well-positioned to challenge for the division title.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Oddsmakers like the Vikings in a major way, making them double-digit home favorites for just the second time all season; they failed to cover -16.5 in a 19-9 win over Washington in Week 8. In fact, Minnesota is a dismal 0-3-1 ATS the last four times it has given away 10+ points in its home stadium, with its last cover in that scenario coming Dec. 17, 2017. Denver is 4-1 ATS in its last five but has just seven covers in its previous 22 games away from Colorado.
The total for Sunday’s game is on the low side, which isn’t surprising given both teams’ stout defenses and the Broncos’ season-long offensive woes. And while the Vikings haven’t been a good cover option as a big-time home fave, they’ve been a much more reliable totals option in that scenario, with the Under going an incredible 14-2 the last 16 times Minnesota has been -10 or better at home. And Denver is 13-1-1 to the Under in its last 15 games following a win.
Denver Broncos
The Broncos come out of their Week 10 bye still riding high following a 24-19 home victory over the Cleveland Browns – but the passing game remains a major problem for this team, which comes into Minnesota having failed to throw for more than 215 yards in five straight games. But bettors looking for an intriguing player prop should consider the Over on Noah Fant’s receiving yard total; he’s the new No. 2 option and had 115 receiving yards in the win over the Browns.
Minnesota Vikings
It isn’t known whether standout wide receiver Adam Thielen will return this week as he deals with a lingering hamstring injury; with Minnesota expected to win easily this week and the Vikings’ Week 12 bye on the horizon, it wouldn’t surprise to see the team exercise some caution here. And while Kirk Cousins has seen his passing numbers dip with Thielen sidelined, the run game continues to be stout, ranked third in the league in yardage (153.0 per game).
