Point Spread: Packers -9 Date: Sunday, Sept. 24, 4:25 PM ET Location: Sports Lincoln Lambeau Field – Green Bay, WI

Point Spread And Betting Analysis

The Packers opened up at 9.5 at SportsInteraction but that line has dipped to 9. It could be the Packers injuries that are a factor. Another consideration is that the Bengals played last Thursday, so they’ll have had extra time to prepare for this contest. The total opened up at 45 for this showdown but has dipped to 44.5.

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals offense is still looking for their first touchdown of the season heading into Week 3. Cincinnati fired offensive coordinator Ken Zampese following another brutal loss to the Texans and replaced him with quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor. There are too many weapons on the Bengals offense for them be struggling as much as they are right now. That said, Dalton has looked absolutely awful in the pocket and there is no guarantee that changes with a new play-caller this week.

Meanwhile, the lack of efficiency on offense has led to the Cincinnati defense being exposed. It might surprise you to know that the Bengals once-stout run defense is ranked second-last in that category right now, giving up 162.5 yards per game on the ground. If they can’t slow the Packers ground game, they’ll get picked apart.

Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers struggled without two of his top receivers out of the lineup on the road in Atlanta on Sunday night. Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb could play on Sunday, which would provide a major boost for the Green Bay offense. However, the Packers tapped into their depth chart last year and were fine. Running back Ty Montgomery has been a major bright spot early on this year and should see a ton of touches.

Meanwhile, the Packers defense is dealing with a couple of injuries as well including most notably one to their star defensive tackle Mike Daniels. The Green Bay defense was exploited last week and will have to expect a motivated and desperate Bengals side this week. This could be more of a shootout than people expect if the Packers injuries are indeed a factor.
