The Octopus is one of the more unusual Super Bowl prop bets on the board. It hits when the same player scores a touchdown and then scores the ensuing two-point conversion, creating an eight-point drive.

The term “Octopus” dates back to 2018, when a Panthers–Commanders game featured Torrey Smith catching a touchdown and the two-point conversion on the same drive. The moment was spotted and named by football writers on social media, and sportsbooks eventually turned it into a formal betting market.

Despite growing in popularity, the Octopus has cashed in only one Super Bowl. In Super Bowl 57, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts rushed for a touchdown and then ran in the two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter, producing the first Super Bowl Octopus in history.

At +1500 for Super Bowl 60, the Octopus remains a long-shot prop. It requires both a two-point attempt and the same player finishing both plays, a combination that is still rare even in high-scoring games.
