National anthem length betting odds
The line for the national anthem is set at 120.5 seconds (2:00.50), which is interesting when you consider Batiste sung the national anthem at the 2017 NBA All-Star game and finished around 2:07.
Two of the last three national anthem performances have surpassed two minutes, but one of those was a duet, so it would naturally take longer.
It’s easy to lean toward the Over on this one. Seven of the last 10 Super Bowl national anthems have hit the two-minute mark and Batiste’s performance will go longer if he uses his piano like he did at the NBA All-Star game.
Super Bowl anthem history
The Star-Spangled Banner has been performed at all but one Super Bowl since 1967 (“America the Beautiful” was sung in 1977). At 90 seconds (1:30), Billy Joel’s 2007 anthem performance is the shortest recorded national anthem time since oddsmakers began setting the Over/Under for this prop in 2007. Alicia Keys has the longest clocked time, by far, at 155 seconds (2:35) in 2013.
Last year, Reba McEntire rocked the anthem in 1:34, the quickest time since Kelly Clarkson also finished in 1:34 in 2012 and the second-slowest since Billy Joel in 2007. Clarkson’s time was the only recorded push, while the Over has it 10 times and the Under has played seven times.

Super Bowl 59 national anthem prediction
I’m going with the recent history on this one. Batiste already finished well above the two-minute mark at the 2017 NBA All-Star game, so I’m taking the Over on Sunday.
