2025 NFL Futures: It’s time to jump on the Rams to win the NFC West

NFL Week 3 is in the books, and it was another fabulous weekend of football. We saw several great games, including the Eagles knocking off the Rams in dramatic fashion, the Buccaneers defeating the Jets in the final seconds, and the Lions beating the Ravens as road underdogs on Monday Night Football.

There were plenty of takeaways from Week 3 that impacted the NFL futures markets. What happened to the Super Bowl oddsboard, and who is in pole position in the player awards markets? Let’s get into it.

How did the Super Bowl odds change?

  • Buffalo Bills (+425)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+550)
  • Green Bay Packers (+750)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+750)
  • Detroit Lions (+1000)
  • Kansas City Chiefs (+1400)
  • Los Angeles Chargers (+1500)
  • San Francisco 49ers (+1600)
  • Los Angeles Rams (+2000)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2200)
  • Washington Commanders (+2200)
  • Indianapolis Colts (+3500)
  • Denver Broncos (+4000)
  • Minnesota Vikings (+4000)

Like last week, the Bills sit atop the Super Bowl odds following their win over the Dolphins, while the Ravens’ odds have taken a small hit after losing to the Lions on Monday. The biggest mover was Detroit, as Dan Campbell’s team looks to be among the best in the NFL after bouncing back from its poor Week 1 performance.

Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos have tumbled down to +4000 following a loss to the Chargers in the final seconds. Finally, the Bengals’ odds dipped to +6000 after Joe Burrow’s injury in Week 2, but they’ve now fallen all the way to +12500 after being dominated by the Minnesota Vikings 48-10.

How did the player awards odds change?

For the third consecutive week, the most notable race in the player awards market that was impacted by a Week 3 result was in the MVP market. While Josh Allen is now the outright favourite for the award, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is flying up the oddsboard, as he’s now priced at +600 in the market following another signature moment in a comeback win against the Broncos on Sunday.

Elsewhere, we had a massive move in the Offensive Player of the Year market, as Jonathan Taylor is now the current favourite for the award at +500. Joining him as the Coach of the Year favourite for the second straight week is Colts head coach Shane Steichen at +375 odds following his team’s outstanding 3-0 start.

Best NFL futures bet to lock in right now: Los Angeles Rams to win the NFC West (+200)

So far, my futures portfolio in this column looks strong, as my Ravens to win the AFC North bet certainly holds value heading into Week 4. This week, I’m going to target the Rams to win the NFC West at a juicy +200 price. After all, Matthew Stafford and company should’ve beaten the Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday, as it took an all-out catastrophe down the stretch for Los Angeles to lose in last year’s NFC Divisional Round rematch.

Los Angeles currently trails the 49ers by a game in the standings, but San Francisco was dealt some bad news in the injury department once again this week, as Nick Bosa just suffered a season-ending ACL injury. This is on top of Brock Purdy’s ongoing injury and the top receivers on the depth chart (Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings) showing no signs of returning this week.

Yes, San Francisco has a relatively easy schedule, but the 49ers do have a trip to Los Angeles for a date with the Rams next Thursday night. It’s certainly on the board that Sean McVay’s team holds the lead in the NFC West after Week 6, making this number valuable.
