- Jalen Hurts +1800

NFL MVP Best Bet: Joe Burrow (+600)
Joe Burrow has yet to win an MVP award, but this feels like the year that Cincinnati returns to the postseason and Burrow will have to be at the centre of its push for the playoffs.
The Bengals’ offence should be elite once again with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins patrolling the field at the wide receiver position, and Cincinnati will need to score 30+ points per game with its porous defence on the other side.
It’s also important to note that Burrow has acknowledged that he feels the best he’s ever felt and that he feels healthy heading into the season. In 2024, the Bengals signal-caller threw for 4,918 yards with 43 touchdowns to just nine interceptions. If Burrow can replicate those stats while his team wins 11 or 12 games instead of nine, this award should be his to lose.
NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Odds
- Abdul Carter +250
- Jalon Walker +900
- Travis Hunter +1000
- Mykel Williams +1000
- Jihaad Campbell +1200
- Mason Graham +1200
- Mike Green +1200
- James Pearce Jr. +1800
- Malakai Starks +2000
NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Best Bet: Mykel Williams (+1000)
Given the losses that the 49ers sustained in the offseason, former Georgia product Mykel Williams will likely be starting from Week 1 on this roster, especially since he’s been receiving rave reviews in training camp from Robert Saleh and the rest of the 49ers’ defensive staff.
We can expect plenty of snaps for the rookie as part of a San Francisco team that is looking to make a playoff push in a fairly open NFC West this season. The 11th overall pick often played his best against elite competition in the SEC and we should see a fairly seamless transition into success at the professional level under the tutelage of Saleh and some of the excellent veterans on this 49ers defence.
All things considered, I’m expecting a big rookie year from Williams in a role that should enable him to get plenty of attention throughout the season.
NFL Comeback Player of the Year Odds
- Aidan Hutchinson +275
- Dak Prescott +325
- Christian McCaffrey +400
- Trevor Lawrence +500
- J.J. McCarthy +800
- Nick Chubb +1300
- Daniel Jones +2000
- Maxx Crosby +2000
- Stefon Diggs +2500
- Anthony Richardson (+2500)
NFL Comeback Player of the Year Best Bet: Aidan Hutchinson (+275)
In his third season with the Lions, Aidan Hutchinson was in the process of establishing himself as one of the best players in the sport. However, this was before Hutchinson was sadly forced to miss most of last season after fracturing both bones in his lower leg in Week 6 against the Cowboys.
Fast forward nearly a year, and recent reports from training camp have been very encouraging for the defensive lineman, leading me to believe that he should bounce back in a big way this season.
Assuming the Lions have another playoff-calibre season, it’ll be an inspiring story if Hutchinson is able to perform at a high level following a serious injury, which presents us with a compelling case for taking him at +275. While Hutchinson is the favourite in this market, Joe Burrow was the favourite heading into the 2024 season, so the fairly obvious selections have had a tendency to capture this award in recent years.
