Former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is signing a one year, $14 million contract with the Indianapolis Colts. The contract is worth up to $17.7 million with incentives and includes $13.15 million guaranteed.

Here’s how the contract breaks down:

Jones will compete with Anthony Richardson for the starting job.

The 27-year-old was released by the New York Giants last season after throwing for 2,070 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions in 10 games, with the team going 2-8.

Five days after being released by the Giants, Jones signed to the Minnesota Vikings practice squad on Nov. 27 and was promoted to the active roster on Jan. 7.

Rodgers not going far?

The New York Giants and quarterback Aaron Rodgers have reportedly had good conversations and the team has told Rodgers they believe he would be a good fit with star receiver Malik Nabers.

Rodgers is set to be released by the New York Jets after two disappointing seasons. The Jets finished 5-12 last year, second-last in the AFC East, with Rodgers throwing for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Texans acquiring Gardner-Johnson, signing Tomlinson and Edwards

The Houston Texans are acquiring cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson and a 2026 sixth-round draft pick from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for guard Kenyon Green and a 2026 fifth-round pick.

Gardner-Johnson, 27, returned to the Eagles in free agency last year after spending the 2023 season in Detroit. He appeared in 16 games for Philadelphia last season, recording 59 tackles and six interceptions, including one pick-six.

The Texans also signed guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year, $4.25 million deal, worth up to $5 million.

Houston continued adding, signing defensive lineman Mario Edwards to a two-year, $9.5 million deal.

Texans send LT Tunsil to Commanders

The Houston Texans are trading left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Washington Commanders for a package of draft picks, including second and fourth round picks and a third rounder this year.

Darnold signing with Seahawks for $100.5 million

Sam Darnold is cashing in on a career-year with Minnesota. Seattle is signing Darnold to a three-year, $100.5 million contract, with $55 million guaranteed.

The 27-year-old made the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career last season after throwing for a career-best 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.

Darnold is replacing Geno Smith, who the Seahawks traded to Las Vegas for a third-round draft pick.

Fields signs with Jets

For the second straight off-season, Justin Fields is on the move. The New York Jets are signing Fields to a two-year contract worth up to $40 million, with $30 million guaranteed.

With Russell Wilson out injured, Fields started six games for Pittsburgh last season, throwing for 1,106 yards with five touchdowns and an interception. He added another 289 yards and five TDs on the ground.

Godwin had 50 catches for 576 yards and five touchdowns in seven games last season before an ankle injury ended his year.

Rodgers to Steel City?

After acquiring receiver D.K. Metcalf from Seattle, Pittsburgh isn’t done revamping their offence. The Steelers are reportedly kicking tires on former Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers. While the team continues to talk to Russell Wilson, they’ve already lost Justin Fields to the Jets.

Rodgers, 41, threw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns for a Jets team that finished 5-12 last season.

Panthers make Horn highest paid defensive back ever

Carolina and cornerback Jaycee Horn have agreed to a four-year, $100 million extension with $70 million guaranteed. The contract includes a max value of $108 million with incentives.
