Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens: Lamar’s legacy

Lamar Jackson will win his second career MVP this season, but he still needs a Super Bowl ring to solidify his legacy. Step one is facing Houston in the divisional round. Baltimore should win this game, but it won’t be because of Jackson’s legs. He was limited to 38 rushing yards against the Texans in Week 1 and Houston finished the regular season with the sixth-best rushing defence in the NFL. Conversely, the Texans had the 23rd-ranked passing defence, so Jackson and the Ravens will likely attack through the air on Saturday.

NFL Divisional Round Prediction: Lamar Jackson Under 52.5 rushing yards (-110)

Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers: Bet on Brandon

Brandon Aiyuk has delivered some massive numbers this season, finishing with at least 109 receiving yards seven times. He didn’t play much in the regular season finale, but he put up 113, 114 and 126 receiving yards in three of four prior games. Aiyuk averaged 83.9 receiving yards per game in the regular season and we expect him to finish somewhere around that number in the divisional round against a weak Packers zone defence.

NFL Divisional Round Prediction: Brandon Aiyuk Over 68.5 receiving yards (-110)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions: Baker is cooking

One of the best comeback stories of the year has been Baker Mayfield‘s play in Tampa Bay. Mayfield kept it going in the Wild Card round last week, becoming the first quarterback in franchise history to throw for 300 or more yards and three or more touchdowns in a playoff game. Now, will the Bucs win in Detroit this week? Probably not, but we like Tampa to hang around and Mayfield to have another solid outing. He’s now thrown for 280 or more yards in four of his last five games and he’s cleared that total in seven of his last 11 starts. Bank on Mayfield terrorizing the Lions’ 27-ranked pass defence on Sunday.

NFL Divisional Round Prediction: Baker Mayfield Over 247.5 passing yards (-115)

Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills: Is this Josh Allen’s year?

The path to the Super Bowl for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills was always going to run through Kansas City’s dynasty, so they should be feeling good to at least have home home field advantage. With the Chiefs’ elite secondary focusing on Stefon Diggs this week, Buffalo will need to rely on Allen’s scrambling ability. That shouldn’t be a problem as Allen has rushed 12, 15 and eight times in his last three games, topping at least 67 yards in each of his last two. He’s also putting up solid numbers in the air, averaging 242 passing yards per outing over his last four games.

NFL Divisional Round Prediction: Josh Allen Over 280.5 total passing and rushing yards (-115)
