The first set of BCS rankings came out at the weekend but the only poll that matters around here doesn’t need any fancy algorithms. Al Dannity brings you his latest batch of Power Rankings.

1. LSU (7-0, 4-0 SEC, 5-2 ATS)
The top of these rankings doesn’t have much change so it’s no surprise to see the Tigers still out in front. Can November 5 just get here already please?
Last week: W 38-7 at Tennessee.
Next game: Saturday vs. Auburn.

2. Alabama (7-0, 4-0 SEC, 6-1 ATS)
See above; nothing of note should happen until the Tide play LSU in Tuscaloosa.
Last week: W 52-7 at Mississippi.
Next game: Saturday vs. Tennessee.

3. Oklahoma (6-0, 3-0 Big 12, 4-2 ATS)
The Sooners continue their roll through the Big 12 with a home game against the Red Raiders. If, as expected, Oklahoma wins then Tommy Tuberville could face a lot of heat from Tech fans for losing three games in a row.
Last week: W 47-17 at Kansas.
Next game: Saturday vs. Texas Tech.

4. Wisconsin (6-0, 2-0 Big Ten, 5-1 ATS)
We saw Andrew Luck do it already for Stanford, then last Saturday came Russell Wilson’s mandatory reception by a quarterback in the Heisman race. He was aided, as you will see, by there being no Hoosiers within a mile of him when he made the catch.

Last week: W 59-7 vs. Indiana.

5. Oklahoma State (6-0, 3-0 Big 12, 5-1 ATS)
The Cowboys steamrolled through the Longhorns on Saturday. Now they face a big test at Missouri. Covering against the Tigers is no easy feat, Oklahoma State will deserve some credit if they do so this weekend.
Last week: W 38-26 at Texas.
Next game: Saturday at Missouri.

6. Clemson (7-0, 4-0 ACC, 6-1 ATS)
The ACC front-runners were the only team in the top eight of these rankings forced to fight for their win last Saturday. They got the job done but drop one place because of the Cowboys’ impressive display in Austin.
Last week: W 36-14 vs. Boston College.
Next game: Saturday at Maryland.

7. Boise State (6-0, 1-0 MWC, 4-2 ATS)
In the last two weeks, on the road, the Broncos have outscored their opponents 120-20. Good luck to Air Force on Saturday.
Last week: W 63-13 at Colorado State.
Next game: Saturday vs. Air Force.

8. Stanford (6-0, 4-0 Pac-12, 6-0 ATS)

Next game: Saturday at Kansas.

11. Arkansas (5-1, 1-1 SEC, 4-2 ATS)

Next game: October 29 at Tennessee.

14. Houston (6-0, 2-0 Conf. USA, 4-2 ATS)

Next game: Saturday vs. Marshall.

15. Penn State (6-1, 3-0 Big Ten, 1-6 ATS)
No team fails to cover with quite the rotten stench of the Nittany Lions. They do however continue to rack up the wins.
Last week: W 23-18 vs. Purdue.
Next game: Saturday at Northwestern.

16. West Virginia (5-1, 1-0 Big East, 3-3 ATS)

Last week: Idle.
Next game: Friday at Syracuse.

17. Nebraska (5-1, 1-1 Big Ten, 1-5 ATS)
One of several idle teams to benefit from defeats to three unbeatens this week. The Huskers won’t prove much against an awful Minnesota team on Saturday.
Last week: Idle.
Next game: Saturday at Minnesota.

18. Virginia Tech (6-1, 2-1 ACC, 2-5 ATS)
That was a really important win for the Hokies against Wake Forest, one that puts them back in contention in the ACC.

Next game: Saturday vs. Boston College.

19. Washington (5-1, 3-0 Pac-12, 5-1 ATS)
