Texas Tech vs. Arkansas Bracket Prediction: March Madness Odds
After a scare against No. 14 Colgate on Friday, the Arkansas Razorbacks will be looking for a better showing against No. 6 Texas Tech on Sunday. The Red Raiders are looking to punch their ticket to a third straight Sweet 16 appearance after dumping Utah State on Friday. Can Arkansas end Texas Tech’s Sweet 16 streak, or can the Red Raiders capitalize on the Razorbacks’ vulnerability?
Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Arkansas Razorbacks NCAA Tournament Point Spread and Betting
Arkansas is getting the early support for this one as they’re a higher seed, but opened as a 1-point underdog. Sports Interaction bettors are fairly split and this game could essentially become a pick’em by Sunday night. Keep an eye on the total in this one. It opened at 141, but a stingy Red Raiders defence could force it down even lower.
(6) Texas Tech Red Raiders
It was a bit of a two-faced game for Texas Tech on Friday. They trailed the Utah State Aggies at halftime by three points, before dominating in the second half to win 65-53. The Red Raiders offence runs through Georgetown transfer Mac McClung and he didn’t disappoint against the Aggies, putting up a team-high 16 points. Texas Tech’s resurgence in the second half, however, was mainly due to the contributions of Kyle Edwards, Kevin McCullar and Terrance Shannon Jr. Edwards finished the game with 12 points, six rebounds and four assists, while McCullar and Shannon Jr. each put up 10 points. Another team effort against the Razorbacks could move Texas Tech on and into the Sweet 16.
(3) Arkansas Razorbacks
At one point trailing 33-19 to No. 14 Colgate in the first half, it looked like Arkansas was in for a major upset. Thankfully for Razorbacks fans, the team went on a 17-0 run to end the first half and left the game with a convincing 85-68 win. Justin Smith was the key contributor, finishing with a season-high 29 points to go along with 13 rebounds. Jalen Tate dropped 15 points, while JD Notae put up 14 and Moses Moody added 12. If Arkansas’ guards can keep up with Texas Tech, the Razaorbacks have a great chance to get to the Sweet 16 and with Ohio State out of the tournament, maybe even the Final Four.
